Description
English: Grass snake (Natrix natrix), Pieniny, Slovakia. The National Park conservation expert who was hosting us moved it to the log where it was very content in the sunshine. He had pre-warned us by explaining that snakes 'yawn' (well, gape actually) as part of their warming-up process.
